March Flavours of the Month

Hello March!

With the changing weather and glimpses of sun shining through the clouds, Spring is soon approaching and warmer days are coming!  For our March Flavours of the Month, we wanted to share some traditional yet highly requested flavours from our amazing guests, to get us through this last bit of dreary weather and into brighter and happier days.

Faloodeh

A sorbetto inspired from a traditional dessert popular across the Middle East and South Asia.  With the aroma of rose water and the sour kick from freshly squeezed lemon juice, it’s a refreshing welcome to the spring season.  Do not get intimidated by this pink gelato or the rice noodle pieces mixed in, as they add a textural element, extra creaminess and play homage to this unique frozen dessert.  If you love our famous Akbar Mashti, this may just be your new favourite!

Cafe del Nonno

A famous gelato coffee recipe from Naples, south of Italy, the name Cafe del Nonno means “grandfather’s coffee” in Italian and it’s the perfect combination between coffee and hazelnuts.  This creamy flavour is more than just typical iced coffee, it’s a delicious dessert that plays off of a staple hot weather drink, whipped delicately into your next favourite gelato that’s a true homecoming that warms your heart from the inside out.

Carrot Cake

With the great success of our banana bread and cherry cheese cake gelato, we decided to bring the challenge to the next level.  Turning cake into gelato is no easy feat, but with actual carrot cake pieces and some shredded carrot bits mixed in, our Carrot Cake gelato will truly bring nostalgia as if you’re licking the carrot cake batter right off the spatula… The caramelized brown sugar gives a sweet taste, cream cheese gives a salty and creamy profile, and spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves provide a richer taste.

We look forward to welcoming you to our shops and hope these March flavours make your mouth sing!
